The Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch offers many activities as part of your all-inclusive family vacation. Once you’re here, you’ll settle into your own pace – fast, slow, or not at all.

In addition to all your meals, your weeklong all-inclusive dude ranch vacation includes:

Horseback Riding
The Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch maintains a herd of over 100 horses, which accommodates all levels of riding abilities for your whole group or family. “Gold Medal” Fly Fishing / Fishing
With the Colorado River right in your backyard, you will receive expert instruction in our “catch and release” portion of the river. Be sure to bring your camera, so you’ll have proof of your fish stories. Click for more details.

Stocked Trout Pond
While the Colorado River is “catch and release,” our own stocked trout pond has a fish with your name on it. Our chef will even cook it for you that evening.

Kids Program
Our Ranch Fun Kid's Program is flexible and designed to meet the needs of children in various age groups. They are kept safe, busy, and entertained on their dude ranch vacation! Click for more details.

Cow Pushing
This is your opportunity to play with cows on horseback while you push our steers around various obstacles and participate in the Bar Lazy J way of team penning.

Agility Course
Show off your horsemanship skills while building confidence in a very controlled environment. You’ll show your horse that you are in control by rounding barrels, weaving poles, and many other obstacles.

Jeep Rides
Get a real feel for Colorado during one of our off-road Jeep rides. Our guides will take you through the forest where many people can’t get to on foot.

Breathtaking Guided Hikes
Trade in your saddle for a simple and beautiful Colorado hike. Experience the wildflowers and wildlife during this educational tour.

Sightseeing Van Trip
A comfortable van trip to the town of Grand Lake will offer plenty of sighseeing opportunities as well as ample time for some shopping.

Mountain Biking
Climb aboard one of our mountain bikes for a quiet ride through the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Heated Swimming Pool
Soak up the Colorado sun and amazing blue sky that doesn’t seem to end while rejuvenating and splashing around in our 20x40 pool.

Relaxing Hot Tub
After a day of riding, our hot tub is the perfect place to relax to get you ready for the next day.

Recreation Barn
Our barn is always open for shuffleboard, ping-pong, air hockey, foosball and games.

Evening Entertainment
Every evening after dinner there are planned activities including hayrides, campfire sing-a-longs, staff shows and western dancing. Schedule includes:

• Monday – Horse drawn wagon ride
• Tuesday – Singing cowboys
• Wednesday – Line dancing with Cheri (ranch owner)
• Thursday – Kid’s Pow Wow Campfire (marshmallows, games, sing-alongs) / Adult Campfire with singer Tammy Yurich
• Friday – Staff Show (aka The Saturday Night Live of Dude Ranches)
• Saturday – Rodeo
