Breakfast Ride

The Breakfast Horseback Ride is offered on Wednesday morning at the dude ranch. We start at the Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch where you and your family have portraits taken by our professional photographer. This is an all walking ride, which is led by the Helmickis through the sage-covered hills along the Colorado River.

Children 6 years old and younger, along with anyone else who does not want to ride, can ride with the Children’s Counselors in our van to the breakfast site to meet up with you and the other guests.

You will  cross the river on horseback and will unsaddle at a campground where our Chef and kitchen staff will serve up a hearty Colorado breakfast. After breakfast, the rides are offered as usual and you can choose to go on a Scenic, Moderate, or Adventure horseback ride.
